Mangaluru: Kanara Catholic Educational Co-operative Society distributes education aid

Mangaluru, Sep 2: Kanara Catholic Educational Co-operative Society, Mangalore, distributed Education aid to the students at Catholic Centre, Hampankatta, on Monday, September 2.

The chief guest, district governor Ln Ronald Gomes delivered a touching message to the students, as to how they should be committed to their education to build their future which will help every individual for the betterment of nation. He gave the example of late President A P J Kalam by aiming at the stars through which one can see the moon. The chief guest requested all the students to study hard and to make use of the aid given by the society.



President Rudolph D’silva welcomed the gathering and gave a brief history of the society which will be celebrating 75 years in 2020. The commencement of jubilee year was symbolically inaugurated with the beneficiary students and parents.

Secretary Oswald D D’cunha read out the names of the Beneficiaries. A sum of Rs 75,000 was disbursed to students of various schools of Mangaluru.

Vice-president Sushil Noronha compered the programme and introduced the directors to the chief guest. Directors Vivian Sequeira, Cynthia Farias, Shanthi Rasquinha, Lawrence Pinto, Sunil Vas, Jossie Rego, Dr Ivan Pinto, Noel Lobo and James J Madtha were present for the programme.
