Bengaluru: New political party 'Karnataka Rashtra Samiti' formed

Bengaluru, Aug 20: A new political party by the name 'Karnataka Rashtra Samiti' was officially formed on August 10 at Dhananjaya Palace of the city.

Speaking on the occasion, centenarian, freedom fighter Doreswamy said, "There is a necessity of a political party as an alternative to Congress, BJP and JD (S). Let Karnataka Rashtra Samiti (KRS) assert newness."

S R Hiremath, lawyer of Superme Court Dhananjay, wished good luck to the new party.

In his presidential address, Ravi Krishna Reddy, president of the party said, "This party is founded to provide clean and pro-people politics. This party will provide justice to the party activists, who are faithful to the party, regardless of caste and money power."

Amrith Shenoy, vice-president of the party said, "Though state or nationwide tour will be done in order to strengthen the party, my priority will be to make this party win in the coastal region of Karnataka."

Lingegowda, Deepak, Aravind, Venugopal and Raghupati were present.
