Mangaluru, Jul 30: The student council of St Aloysius College on July 27 organised a unique, inspirational and motivational interactive session on 'Organic Plastic' at LCRI hall of the college.
Ashwath Hegde, eminent entrepreneur and innovative change maker, was the resource person.
Principal, Fr Dr Praveen Martis, SJ presided over the programme.
Student council directors, Dr Ratan Tilak Mohunta and Dr Santhosh W Goveas were on the dais.
Ashwath Hegde motivated the students by his vibrant talk. He explained his journey as a successful entrepreneur and founding nature-friendly organic plastic. He narrated his personal experience and passion for making a difference in the world. He advised the students not to focus on jobs and salaries alone, but to also focus on meaningful careers that show an orientation toward gainful employment and lead to finding solutions to the problems encountered by consumerism and greed of human beings. He urged the students to go beyond jobs and salaries and be entrepreneurs who will be the future change makers finding solutions to the maladies of mankind. After the talk, there was an interactive session with Ashwath Hegde wherein many students raised their queries to which the resource person responded with great eloquence.
Rupal D'Souza, vice-president of the student council compered the programme.
