Byndoor, May 10: A person identified as Robin was arrested by a team of forest officials attached to Byndoor range on the allegation of hunting a deer at Tondle in Paduvari village near here. The officials have recovered deer pelt, meat and other items from the arrested accused.
Robin, son of Scaria from Nagaramakki in Yadthare village and a few of his associates reportedly had killed a deer on May 9. Another accused, identified as Abhilash Tangachchan from Maddodi in Paduvari village is absconding.
Assistant forest conservator, G Lohith of Kundapur subdivision has undertake investigation of the case under the guidance of deputy forest conservator of Kundapur sub-division, Prabhakaran. Byndoor range forest officer, T Kiran Babu, Kollur wildlife range forest officer, G N Naresh and staff of the wildlife division took part in the operation.
