For Udupi-Chikkamagaluru constituency, Udupi district deputy commissioner is the electoral officer while for Shivamogga constituency, deputy commissioner of that district is the electoral officer. But electronic voting machines, VVPAT , staff, vehicles, police etc are being provided by Udupi district administration. Permission for campaigning has to be obtained from the Byndoor electoral officer within that constituency.
