Srinivasa Institute of Technology women’s Kabaddi team wins VTU Mangalore zone championship

Mangaluru, Nov 16: Srinivasa Institute of Technology (SIT), Mangaluru, celebrated a major achievement as its women’s kabaddi team emerged champions at the Visvesvaraya Technical University (VTU) Belagavi-Mangaluru Zone inter-college Kabaddi tournament, held at Sahyadri College, Mangaluru. The team’s victory is a testament to the excellent training and effective team management at the institute.

SIT has long encouraged its students to participate in sports, and this victory underscores the college’s commitment to fostering the holistic development of its students. The win also highlights the institute's strong support for women athletes, further motivating them to excel in their chosen fields.

Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, president of A Shyama Rao Pratisthana, Mangaluru, Dr A Srinivas Rao, vice-president, and principal Dr Srinivasa Mayya D all expressed their appreciation for the team's outstanding performance. They credited the victory to the dedication and hard work of the students and the guidance provided by the physical education director.
