Udupi, Apr 16: In a tragic incident, a PU student from a private college in Udupi committed suicide here on Monday, April 15.
Prajna(18), a resident of Nadumane village in Hebri, the deceased person. She was a student of Brahmavara Board.
Disappointed after failing to clear the second year exam results, she ended life by hanging. She could not clear Kannada paper while she had scored above 60 in all other subjects. Her relatives from Bengaluru had told her about the result informing her that she could not clear Kannada paper.
Her mother and grand-mother were at home when she took the extreme step.
A case has been registered at Hebri police station.
