Udupi, Nov 17: A man walking on a railway track was killed after being struck by a moving train near Highway Hotel in Murudeshwara.

The deceased has been identified as Sandeep K R (44), a resident near the KPTCL substation in Herur.

According to reports, Sandeep was walking on the railway track for unknown reasons when he was hit by a train traveling towards Murudeshwara. He died on the spot. A case has been registered at the Murudeshwara railway station following a complaint filed by Umesh Naika, the station master of Murudeshwara railway station.
