Byndoor, Apr 13: “People have decided that Narendra Modi led BJP government should rule the country to eradicate corruption and for the country's security. Therefore, the party will win at least 300 seats,” said Soraba constituency MLA Kumar Bangarappa. He addressed a news conference at BJP office here on Friday.
“National security, unity and integrity and development will be important factors in the current elections. People have suffered under previous governments. They have expectations that Modi government will fill the lapses. The current central budget has created such hopes among people,” he said.
“The mahagathbandhan formed by national and regional parties losing their identities has brought to the surface the uncertainty of dual party rule in the country. Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections will be held together in the future. As Congress party formed government with JDS which had won few seats, it will cause disaster for Congress. Its activists are already in slumber. The talk by Congress leaders Siddaramaiah and C M Ibrahim have put them in confusion. Some Congress leaders are supporting rebel candidates of Congress. Therefore, Congress activists are deserted. Instead of the current ‘Where are you Nikhil’, ‘Where are you Congress’ phrase will be the mode. Congress activists have to inevitably support BJP candidates for their identity,” he said.
“Coalition candidate in Shivamogga, my brother Madhu Bangarappa does not contest with a definite mind. He went abroad after defeat. He has been called back and urged to contest. He may lose again and go abroad,” he said.
“Former MP B S Yeddyurappa has conducted a lot of work in Byndoor. B Y Raghavendra in the by election win has implemented important schemes. Therefore, the voters will elect him with large number of votes,” he said.
BJP leaders were present.
