Mangaluru, Mar 28: The Convocation Day of the Carmel School kindergarten section was held on March 26 in the school auditorium.
Dressed up in smart graduation robes and caps the tiny tots marched down the red carpet together with Sr Maria Kripa, superior of St Ann’s convent and joint secretary of St Ann’s campus institutions, Sr Sarika, principal, Lavita and their class teachers to the symphonic rhythm of the school band. The event of the golden day commenced with a unique prayer service. The guest and parents were accorded an inclusive welcomed by Nisha. Parent representatives expressed their gratitude towards the school and the teachers in instilling human values in their children through varied continuum of activities.
Addressing the parents Sr Sarika said, “The beginning of the school year was a time of building trust with the children and with you. It was a time of building relationships together and creating a team with one shared goal: That trust was built, relationships and teams created. We moved through the year--as a team--growing and learning and building a foundation your children will bring with them to Kindergarten. We thank you for sharing your children with us. We thank you for allowing us to be part of your family during this time.” She expressed her sincere sentiments of gratitude to the teachers of the Kindergarten for their dedication to the children and their families and for their thoughtful planning and time invested in the lives of each and every one of these children. Her inspirational and motivational words enlightened the listeners.
On behalf of all the little graduates Parvathi Vivek, Aradhya K R and Haleema Aysha Numa shared experiences of their first learning journey of two years and thanked the principal, all the teachers and friends who were responsible for their growth.
A filmy dance by the LKG tiny tots was a joy to behold. A moral skit was enacted with the message ‘Be happy with what you have’. Another heart stealing performance was the song sung by little wonders of LKG for the outgoing UKG students wishing them all the good in the years to come. UKG students in turn sang a song thanking each and everyone for all that they have done for them in the past two years.
Sr Maria Kripa, president of the function and Sr Sarika felicitated the students with Certificate of Graduation. The president in her presidential address spoke about tips on positive parenting. She highlighted certain aspects like spending quality time with their children, listening to them, giving God first place in their families and to stop comparisons. Her invigorating words enlightened the parents.
Margaret rendered the vote of thanks and Mohini compered the programme.
