Mangaluru: Unique amateur candidate for Lok Sabha elections

Mangaluru, Mar 21: When all the political parties are serious about the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, there are also people like Supreet Kumar Poojary whose acts lighten the whole environment.

Supreet is filing nominations in every election. The speciality is that he changes parties just like the elected MLAs and MPs, who jump from one party to another. But for Supreet it is just fun and there is no ulterior motive behind his filing of nominations from different parties every time.

Supreet filed his nomination for Lok Sabha election from the constituency of Dakshina Kannada on Tuesday March 19. He has filed his nomination in the name of Lok Tantrik Party.

In 2008, Supreet filed the nomination for Lok Sabha elections from JD (U), in 2013 from NCP, in 2014 from HJP, in 2018 from LAD and now in 2019 LJD. This means that in the last five elections, Supreet contested in the name of five different parties. This is his speciality.

This time around, Supreet is the candidate of Lok Tantrik Janata Dal, the party founded by Sharad Yadav of Bihar.

“The fee required to file the nomination is borne by the party workers. I do house to house canvassing before the elections. Contesting in the elections is my hobby. Even those who do not have money can contest. My intention is to show to the public that there is someone else also in the fray apart from only Congress and BJP,” says Supreet.
