Kadaba: Two-month postpartum mother dies after tubectomy

Kadaba, Jan 11: A woman who had given birth to a baby just two months ago passed away due to illness at a private hospital in the city on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Pushpavati (34), wife of Dayananda Gowda from Kamthilu, a native of Alankaru village in Kadaba taluk. She had delivered a baby girl in her fourth delivery two months ago. Both the mother and baby were healthy and had returned home after delivery.

Pushpavati's health began to deteriorate after undergoing a tubectomy surgery for sterilization a few days ago. She was admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru, where she succumbed on Friday.

Pushpavati is survived by her husband, Dayananda, and four daughters.
