Bengaluru, Mar 20: Deputy Chief Minister (DCM) Dr G Parameshwar, who is unhappy over the Congress high command's decision to give Tumakuru Lok Sabha constituency seat to JD (S), is still keeping himself aloof and not attending party meetings.

Parameshwar's discontent is not limited to the issue of Tumakuru seat alone but also for the fact that he is not allowed to discharge his authority in Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) and Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board, which fall under the limits of Bengaluru Urban Development department, which is held by Dr G Parameshwar.

Parameshwar did not attend the meeting of leaders of coalition partners that took place on Tuesday, March 19. He also stayed away from the meeting that was held in the office of KPCC to resolve the chaos of electing candidates for various district units after the division of seats between Congress and JD (S).

The DCM took part in the interactive session which Rahul Gandhi had with the budding entrepreneurs in the city and also the Kalaburagi conference of Rahul Gandhi that were held on Monday, March 18. However, Parmaeshwar did not accompany state Congress in-charge K C Venugopal and KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao when they visited the residence of Deve Gowda on the night of Monday to appeal to return the Tumakuru Lok Sabha constituency to Congress.

Parameshwar has clarified through tweet that he did not attend the meetings due to family functions.
