Bengaluru, Mar 16: The court of people's representatives has served a non-bailable warrant on MLAs Anand Singh and B Nagendra in the illegal mining case.
The court is conducting an inquiry into the 2013 illegal mining case of Ballary, based on the chargesheet filed by the Special Investigation Team (SIT). The other accused in the case former minister Janardhan Reddy, Suresh Babu and close aide of Janardhan Reddy, Ali Khan were present for the inquiry. However, Anand Singh and B Nagendra were not present even after a summons was served on them.
The court, which expressed rage over the absence of the MLAs issued a non-bailable warrant against both the MLAs and postponed the inquiry to March 18.
