Mangaluru, Mar 8: Aiming to provide an intense knowledge and training on theatre, the NSS unit of St Agnes College recently organized a one day university level theatre workshop ‘Abhinaya’.

The programme commenced with a prayer song led by the NSS volunteers followed by welcoming the guest. The chief guests of the programme were Jagan Pawar, Yogish Shetty, Avinash S.

Seven colleges namely- Carmel, Narayan Guru, Canara, St Aloysius, University College, SDMCBM, Ramakrishna along with 30 NSS volunteers of St Agnes college participated in the workshop.

The first session was held by Jagan Pawar, who gave a brief introduction about theatre drama and explained the various elements of drama. Various activities were conducted. The second session was conducted by Shwetha, who explained how to present oneself on stage. Practical sessions were held where the students were divided into four groups and were given a chance to exhibit their talents by singing, dancing, acting and writing stories.

The valedictory programme was held in the evening. The certificates were distributed and the programme concluded by singing the NSS Anthem.
