Mangaluru Feb 19: Principal research scientist solid state and structural Chemistry unit Indian Institute of Science Bengaluru, Dr Govindaraj inaugurated a one day national level workshop on 'Applications of Nano materials' and faculty development programme here at St Agnes College on Tuesday Febraury 19. The workshop was organised by the department of Chemistry.
Addressing the gathering, principal of St Agnes college, Dr Jeswina A C said, "This is the most relevant topic for students. This workshop will give information about world of Nano technology, nano chemistry in solar cells. This will enhance the knowledge of nano chemistry."
Dr Govindaraj will take up a session on 'The fascinating world of Nano carbon materials: journey from synthesis to applications'.
Associate professor, Centre for Incubation Innovation Research and Consultancy, Jyothi Institute of Technology Dr Santhosh M S will take up a session on 'The wonder world of Nano technology and FDP on the art of writing and obtaining project grants: A paradigm shift'.
Assistant proffessor University of Hyderabad, Dr Murali Banavoth will take up a session on 'Solar energy materials and solar cells'.
Cordinator PG studies, Dr Noeline Pinto, organising secretary Anupama N Pai and others were present.
Head of PG Chemistry, Dr Geetha M Pinto welcomed the gathering, student coordinator Ajith proposed the vote of thanks.
