Mangaluru: First Steps Preschool celebrated Yellow Day with fun and frolic

Mangaluru, Feb 18: First Steps Pre-School, Kudroli celebrated its first year’s Yellow Day on February 15 with fun and frolic.

To mark the celebration, all tiny tots wore yellow clothing, brought yellow coloured fruits, vegetables and toys to share with class and each pre-schooler briefly described his or her yellow item brought to the class.

The class room was decorated with yellow streamers, balloons and table settings. The bulletin board was designed with the word ‘yellow’with pictures of yellow animals, vehicles, plants and foods.



The kids actively participated and were very happy and excited. Parents were equally thrilled and overwhelmed due to their child’s participation.

Head teacher Himna S Ahmed explained the purpose of conducting such an event to boost the confidence and creative culture in kids. She enlightened the importance of colour in our life. She further added that Yellow is the best colour to create enthusiasm for life and can awaken greater confidence and optimism. In the meaning of colours, yellow inspires original thought and inquisitiveness. Yellow is the colour of sunshine, hope, happiness, warmth, cheerfulness and fun.

Head teacher Himna S Ahmed, teacher Azeema and Sufiyan and Shehzan S Ahmed decorated the class room and arranged the event in a professional manner, which added feather to the event.

At the end, each child was sent home with a bright yellow smiley prop and the colouring sheets which they coloured as an indoor activity to commemorate the yellow day.

The event magnificently concluded with refreshments for the kids of pre-school.
