Mangaluru: Blood donation camp held at St Agnes College

Mangaluru, Feb 5: The Youth Red Cross, Aids Awareness Education Cell and NSS Units of St Agnes College(Autonomous), Mangaluru in association with Father Muller Medical College, Mangaluru and The United Friends Club, Bejai, Mangaluru organised a one day Blood Donation Camp on Tuesday, February 5.

The chief guest of the programme Sr Dr M Jeswina AC, principal, St Agnes College motivated the students to donate blood and declared the camp open.

Dr Kirana Pailoor, blood bank officer, Father Muller Medical College, Mangaluru addressed the gathering on the importance of blood donation. Nirmal D’Souza, president of United Friends Club enlightened the students on the importance of social service activities among the youth.

Lesly Gomes, convenor, Blood Donation Camp, United Friends Club, Prajwal Rao, staff coordinator of YRC, and Anitha S, Helen Serrao, Derik, and Seema staff coordinators of NSS were among the other dignitaries present.

Jasmine welcomed the gathering and Renee Johnson rendered the vote of thanks. NSS volunteer Ms Nerissa Noronha compered the programme. As many as 105 pints of blood were donated.
