Mangaluru, Nov 20: Dakshina Kannada Member of Parliament (MP), Nalin Kumar Kateel, would be undertaking study tour of Sabarimala on Tuesday, November 20 to study the situation arising out of allowing women of all age groups to enter Lord Ayyappa shrine there and arrangements made for the pilgrims visiting the shrine.
The tour is being undertaken under instruction from BJP national president, Amit Shah. Nalin will be leading a team of BJP leaders including Muralidhar Rao and others. The team will undertake reality check at Sabarimala and send a report to Shah.
Nalin, who is associate in-charge of BJP affairs in Kerala, will undertake visit to Sabarimala after holding a meeting at Changannur in Kerala at 10 am today. He will then reach Pampa by 2 pm and then proceed to Sabarimala.
Nalin said that his visit is meant to study the current situation at Sabarimala including facilities being extended to pilgrims and file a report with the party leadership.
Shah, during his participation in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh session at Mangaluru, had held discussions with various BJP leaders at a hotel. Shah had also suggested to Nalin for aggressively lead BJP's fight relating to Sabarimala.
As a preliminary step towards this end, and to hold discussions on the further course of action to be taken, Shah has asked Nalin to visit Sabarimala and file report. Nalin will be complying with these instructions.
