ICYM Bantwal unit holds 'Anti-Rabies Camp 2K18'

Bantwal, Aug 28: On account of National Dog Day, 'Anti-Rabies Camp 2K18', an anti-rabies vaccination camp was conducted by the youth of Infant Jesus Church here on August 26. This programme was conducted in collaboration with veterinary hospital, Bantwal. Three veterinary inspectors were present for the event.

The programme was inaugurated in the presence of the parish priest Fr Maxim Noronha, assistant parish priest Fr Ashwin Crasta, parish vice-president Sandeep Menezes, secretary Richard D’Souza by vaccinating the church dogs.



Thereafter the members had their breakfast and moved towards the spots assigned to them in Bantwal locality. The members were divided into three teams lead by Sandeep, James and Avinash. The other ICYM volunteers who took part in this event were Dale, Jeston, Annet, Aniketh, Shalvin, Elvin, Melisha, Denzil, Jemston, Riyana, Vinitha Royston, Chrisel, and Felita.

Around 170 dogs were vaccinated in this camp. There has been an increase in the number of vaccines given from last year to this year by 27%. ICYM Bantwal has been conducting this event successfully since 13 years.
