Bengaluru: Student crushed by tipper at Gottigere

Bengaluru, Aug 26: In an accident which occurred on the NICE road bridge at Gottigere on Saturday August 25, a student was crushed by a tipper truck on the spot.

The deceased second PU student has been identified as Raghunath Reddy. He was travelling by motor bike to reach Chaitanya College in Electronics City when a tipper hit him, killing him on the spot.

Angered at the reported recklessness of the tipper driver, the locals stated road blockade and held protest. As a result, traffic jam for over an hour happened. Traffic police from Kumaraswamy extension visited the spot, undertook verification and took the driver into custody. They also cleared the road for traffic.
