Bantwal: Pillion rider of bike killed in accident while avoiding pothole

Bantwal, Aug 24: Mumtaz (35), wife of K M Ashraf from Mariyalu, Karaya near Uppinangady got tossed onto the road from a moving motor bike and died on Friday August 24.

The incident happened at Neerapalike near Kabaka when she was riding pillion on a bike driven by her husband, Ashraf. She got thrown onto the road when her husband tried to avoid a pothole. She died on the spot due to serious injuries suffered in her skull region.

As per information, Mumtaz was going to her brother's home when the accident took away her life. She is survived by husband, two daughters and a son.

A case is registered at Vittal police station on the basis of a complaint filed by the brother of the deceased.
