Bantwal: Carmel College Modankap inaugurates students council

Bantwal, Aug 23: Carmel College Modankap students council 2018-19 was recently inaugurated at the college auditorium by Prof A M Khan, registrar evaluation, Mangalore University.

The programme began by invoking God’s blessings. Prof A M Khan symbolically inaugurated the student council for the academic year 2018-19. The principal, Sr Supriya AC, handed over the college flag to the student council leaders, president Bhagyashree III BCom, secretary Josna Veigas III BCom, joint secretary Joyal Crasta III BA as a sign of taking up the responsibilities.

The principal handed over badges to the 35 office bearers and administered the oath taking ceremony by all the student council leaders, secretaries of various associations and departments and class representatives.



The chief guest, Prof A M Khan addressed the gathering quoting various examples and motivating the young leaders to be committed to the task, hardworking and goal oriented. Prof Sr M Supriya AC delivered her presidential remarks.

The teaching and non-teaching staff and all the students of the college were present. Mehezabeen III BCOM was the master of ceremony. Akhil Hasan III BCom welcomed the gathering and Bhagyashree III BCom proposed the vote of thanks.

Vice principal Sr Latha Fernandes AC, PTA vice president Jacintha D’Cunha and PTA executive Committee member Pakruddin were present.

The programme ended with the college anthem.
