Mangaluru: CHD Group, partners begin medical relief phase in Kerala floods

Mangaluru, Aug 22: CHD Group along with SEEDS India, Bata, Subbaiah Institute of Medical Sciences, Shivamogga and Jvala will start interventions in Wayanad district of flood hit region of the state of Kerala from tomorrow to kickstart the medical relief phase work.

They will hold a multi-speciality intervention with paediatricians, community health physicians, dermatologists to champion the destinies of those who have been victims of nature’s fury.

CHD Group and partners will cater to the most vulnerable communities and also the schedule castes, schedule tribes and other backward classes. They will move to few places based on health intelligence report offered by the local administration.

CHD Group, headquartered in Mangaluru, Karnataka has been at the forefront of strengthening the health systems and disaster risk reduction interface in regions it works in across the country and has been advocating for resilient health systems globally. SEEDS India is a New Delhi based institution which has been working for years in disaster management space.
