Mangaluru: Babu Markus Gomes MM International CEO, team visit Athena Hospital

Mangaluru, Aug 22: Babu Markus Gomes, president of Asia Pacific Alliance of YMCAs and The Christian Co-operative Credit Union Ltd Dhaka, CEO of MM International and his team which included Gomes John, Pankaj Gilbert, Gomes Hemantaignatius, Rozario Litontomas visited Athena Hospital and the institution here, on August 21.

A short welcome programme was organised by the hospital and institution. The chairman, R S Shettian welcomed the gathering. Babu Markus Gomes was honoured by the chairman, secretary Asha Shettian, principal Sr Dhanya Devasia while Dr Sr Alphonsa Ancheril introduced the guest to the audience.

Babu Markus Gomes addressed the gathering and expressed his appreciation for all the good work done by Athena Hospital and institution. He expressed his desire to empower the women of Bangladesh by starting a hospital and training programme for nurses. He invited the hospital's graduate nurses to work in Bangladesh.



Administrative staff of the hospital as well as YMCA members attended the programme. A short clourful cultural programme was performed by the students of Athena College of Nursing.

Mercia Rekha Dsouza, associate professor proposed the vote of thanks and Lavita D'Souza compered the programme. The guest, Babu Markus and his team also visited the various departments of the hospital and the College and were impressed by the hospital's service to their patients as well as their training programmes.
