Mangaluru, Aug 15: “Perfect practice makes man perfect”, said Dr Rajesh Ballal , professor, department of Surgery , K S. Hegde Medical College, Deralakatte, the chief guest of the 72nd Independence Day celebration held at Expert PU College, on August 15 at Bhagavati temple premises, Kodialbail.
“Seeds of intolerance are laid very early in our life due to unhealthy competition because our mind thinks of others performance. So it is high time now to retrain our mind to think, hard work cannot kill us,” he said. He said it allows to have only healthy competition.
Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman, Expert Educational & Charitable Foundation, Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice-chairperson, Expert Educational & Charitable Foundation, Prof Ramachandra Bhat, principal, Expert PU College, Kodialbail, Ankush N Nayak, director of Information Technology, Expert Group of Institutions, and Yogaratna Gopalakrishna Delampady were the dignitaries present on the dais.
The national flag was hoisted by the chief guest and the cultural programme followed.
Ushaprabha N Nayak, administered the oath of office to the newly elected members of the student council and gave a massage to the office bearers to be good leaders and told them to inculcate in themselves a special quality of leader which is to have a good memory. She also said that Independence Day should not be restricted only for celebration rather we should think clean and the country will be clean. We should follow ‘swachhathantra bharath rather than swachhanda bharath’ to make our country proud.”
Ashwath Narayan Shenoy, an Expert alumnus was felicitated for securing 21st All India rank in CA final exams. He inspired students with the message, “It is the student himself who is responsible for building up his future.”
Various competitions were held in connection with the Independence Day and prizes were given away.
