Moodbidiri, Aug 9: A memorandum of understanding was signed between Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad (IIIT-A) and Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology (AIET), Mijar, Moodbidiri, to work closely in research programs and exchange scholars and students.
The agreement was signed by Dr Shrishu Verma, registrar, IIIT, Allahabad and Alva’s Education Foundation, managing trustee Vivek Alva, in the presence of Dr P Nagbhushan, director, IIIT, Allahabad and senior faculties of respective institutes at IIIT Allahabad campus recently.
The agreement covers key areas of possible collaborations- to promote education and scholarly exchange, collaboration and technical interchange between the parties involved as educational partners, exchange of materials in education and research, publications and academic information. Joint organization of workshops and conferences, seminars, short courses on developing coding skills, technical training, invited talks on latest research topics and faculty development programs. The two institutes may also explore MTech/PhD joint research program on mutual agreement and assisting in conduction of coding and Hackathon contest.
On the occasion, Dr Verma and Mr Alva vowed to build on the collaboration and make sure to end up with meaningful and concrete outcomes and results.
The formal exchange of MoU would formally takes at Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology, Mijar, on August 23, in the presence of Dr P Nagbhushan, director, IIIT, Allahabad and Alva’s Education Foundation chairman Dr M Mohan Alva.
The IIIT Allahabad, as an apex nucleating institute in the area of IT, is a major step of government of India towards strengthening the indigenous capability necessary for exploiting profitably and harnessing multi-dimensional facets of IT at all levels, and attaining expertise to enable the country to emerge as a leading player in the global arena.
