Mangaluru, Jul 11: The kindergarteners of St Aloysius Gonzaga School celebrated Colours’ Day on Wednesday, July 11 with great zeal and enthusiasm.
Since the second week of June, many activities were carried out such as finger print, hand print, colour paper sticking activity, paper dabbing, sponge dabbing, vegetable print, collage, stamping, sticking beads, pasting, colouring, painting, and paper toy making to reinforce the concept of primary colours. Classes were decorated with toys, charts, crafts brought by children.
The kindergarteners were dressed up in colourful attire and they looked stunning which added real colour to the programme. Fr Melwin Mendonca, manager of St Aloysius Gonzaga School was the chief guest of the day. Colours day celebration commenced by welcoming Fr manager, principal, parents and tiny tots. Importance and significance of colours were given by the students. Rhymes were sung on colours. Fr manager and the principal addressed the students on importance of colours.
The programme was compeered by Sakshi Prabhu of KG II. The programme ended with Joanne Elizebeth of KG II rendering the vote of thanks. Children learnt the significance, importance and identification of the colours.
