Mangaluru: Clubs inaugurated at SAC Higher Primary School

Mangaluru, Jun 30: To develop the inborn skills of students, SAC Higher Primary School inaugurated 14 clubs on Saturday, June 30.

Daborah Locker, proprietor of Emdees Computers and Networking was the chief guest.

The chief guest addressed the students and said that education is not just 3 ‘R’s i.e. reading, revising and reflecting, but it is also to bring out and use God given talents. She stressed the importance of all round development of each individual. This will improve not only the academics but will help to excel in studies. She also said to enjoy learning and dream big. She was quite impressed by the management and staff for encouraging the students in various clubs.



The fourteen clubs were guitar, keyboard, eco, Science, art, dance, karate, public speaking, school band, chess, spoken English, chess, IT, and cubs and scouts.

The performances that were given by various clubs were very much appreciated by one and all. Correspondent Fr Eric Mathias, headmistress Philomena Lewis, and vice president of the PTA Rekha Fernandes were present.

The members of the public speaking club compered the programme while Ashmith welcomed the gathering. The event concluded with vote of thanks by Elvis Lobo.
