Mangaluru: Minister U T Khader celebrates Eid with students at Expert PU College, Valachil

Mangaluru, Jun 17: Minister for Housing and Urban Development U T Khader celebrated Eid-ul-Fitar with students at Expert PU College, Valachil on Saturday, June 17.

The minister inaugurated Eid celebration at Expert College and lauded the management for giving equal importance in celebrating all festivals. He said, Ramadan means peace, tranquillity and togetherness and he also praised the Indian constitution and its most secular setup.

Guest of honour Dr Shakir Hussein IRS, commissioner of Income Tax Mangalure appreciated discipline and commitment of students and motivated them to excellent in competitive examinations for their bright future.

Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice chairperson, Expert Group of Institutions in her introductory remarks said Expert religion has one religion that is Expert religion and it celebrates all festivals with equal manner.

Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman delivered the presidential address and promised his continued support in transforming the young generation in to socially useful and value committed citizens.

Ustad Rafique Khan, trustee of Expert Group of Institutions emphasised the role of art and culture in uniting India in to a secular entity.

Ankush N Nayak, director Information and Technology, Expert Group of Institutions and Dr, N K Vijayan Karipal, principal were present on the occasion.

Both I PU and II PU students presented variety of cultural extravaganza including the traditional Duff Mutt, Arabic dance skit and songs.

A special Eid feast was also served.

The students of Expert PU College Fathima Hiba, Nidhi Shetty and Nuthan Vajrangi compered and rendered the vote of thanks.
