Mangaluru: SIT bids farewell to final year students

Mangaluru, Jun 11: In an emotionally surcharged atmosphere inside the auditorium hall, the students, staff and management of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, bid adieu to the final year students of BE, BArch, MTech, MCA and MBA students of 2018 batch, at a grand farewell function held here at the College campus in Valachil. The chancellor of Srinivas University and president of A Shama Rao Foundation, CA A Raghavendra Rao presented awards to the outgoing students of final year.

A well-wisher of the institute and a businessman Shivkumar Sharma, who was the chief guest at the function advised students to inculcate moral and ethical values in their professional life.

In his address to the outgoing students, CA A Raghavendra Rao has opined that only the dedication and hard work would take them to the peak of their career and not to be constrained by anything at the beginning of their career.

Many of the nostalgic outgoing students on their part shared their feedback and memories of their stay in the college.

The students who have done outstanding projects from various departments were felicitated by the chief guest and the president on the occasion.

The SIT college magazine ‘Srikrithi 2018’ which was edited by Dr Ambika Mallya G has been released by the guests.

The principal who welcomed the gathering advised students to remember their alma-mater and guide their juniors whenever they get an opportunity to visit the college in the future.

The function which began with the prayer by Deepika and team concluded with the vote of thanks by Prof Padmanayana Bhat of Computer Science and Engineering department. The programme was emceed by Prof Steevan Robert Tellis of MBA department.
