Mangaluru, Apr 2: The city crime branch (CCB) police along with Bunder police on Monday April 2 raided a massage parlour at Bunder here and arrested 11 persons for allegedly running a prostitution racket.
Based on credible information, the police raided M/s Sanjeevani Ayurvedic Therapy Clinic located on the first floor of Topaz complex at Bunder and arrested the 11.
The arrested have been identified as Harish Shetty, a resident of Farangipet, C K Pattakandi Prasooran of Kannur, Kerala, Rawood M K, also of Kannur, Kerala, Sadakatulla (31) of Nellaya, Kerala, Abdul Rehman (37), a resident of Manjagady, Sachindra M (43) of Kannur, Dithin Das (25), Shibu K, Anas and Siyas TV, all three from Kannur, and Rajesh of Palakad, Kerala.
The police recovered Rs 53,400 in cash and 13 mobile phones from the accused.
The accused were running a prostitution racket in the name of body massage, the police said.
They have been handed over to Mangaluru North police for further investigations.
CCB inspector Shantharam, PSI h D Kabbal, Bunder police inspector Yogish Kumar, PSI Pradeep T R and other police personnel were part of the operation.
