Udupi: Elderly woman from Bagalkot rescued while searching for missing son

Udupi, Nov 19: Social worker Nityananda Olakadu came to the aid of an elderly woman and her two grandchildren who were found in a distressed state near Krishna Math.

Fakiravva (75), a native of Bagalkot, had travelled to Udupi in search of her son, who has been missing for over a year. She has been provided shelter at Hosa Baduku Ashram.

Following the directions of the District Child Welfare Committee, her grandson Hanumantha (10) has been accommodated at Boys Bhavana, Doddanagudde.

Fakiravva’s granddaughter Prema (16) has been given shelter at Girls Bala Bhavana, Nittur.
