Workshop hosted by Mangaluru airport stresses on engaging technology in vigilance

Mangaluru, Mar 27: Mangaluru International Airport hosted a two-day workshop on 'Preventive Vigilance - A tool for better governance' on Monday March March 26 and Tuesday March 27.

The vigilance workshop had several interactive sessions conducted by the key dignitaries from the vigilance department, including the chief vigilance officer of Airports Authority of India.

The programme was attended by around 60 participants from various airports such as Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Calicut, Mysuru and Agatti.

The workshop focused on various facets of vigilance such as preventive, punitive, surveillance and proactive vigilance. The seminar stressed on the importance of technology as enabler in AAI. Special thrust was put on innovative measures to engage information technology to attain maximum transparency in the processes followed by AAI.

The interactive vigilance workshop also deliberated on various preventive vigilance measures to achieve good governance in AAI.

    Much needed one. This workshop will help mostly incoming and outgoing passengers as well as visitors. Technology has gone way up in all airports all over the world. Mangalore airport is not bad as before but this will help in many ways for smooth running of the airport.
