Karnataka govt demands unconditional apology from Goa minister, CM Parrikar

Belagavi Jan 15 (DHNS): Belagavi District in-charge Minister M B Patil said that stern action will be taken against Goa state, if its Irrigation Minister Vinod Palekar and its Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, do not unconditionally apologise for the foul language used to describe Kannadigas.

Patil assured on Monday, that after discussing the matter with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, the Karnataka government will take action against its neighbour for Palekar's remark calling Kannadigas 'haramis' on Sunday.

The Karnataka Raskhana Vedike (Karave) activists and the state Working Committee of pro-Kannada organisations has urged the government to impose 'economic' sanctions against Goa state.

They have urged that all supply of vegetables, milk and electricity to Goa must be halted immediately.

"Goan minister Palekar has used foul language to divert the attention of the public from the drama Goa Chief Minister Parrikar and Karnataka BJP President B S Yeddyurappa have been enacting," added Patil.

BJP ruled state Goa enjoys the uninterrupted supply of electricity from Karnataka, keeping its own citizen in dark.
If Mandovi can't be amicably solved being states within the sovereign of India, Karnataka should rethink of supply of electricity to Goa if the CM Parrikar and his MLA tenders unconditional apology.

In the past enormity of the offence committed by the Minister of State, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti in PM Modi's government 'Ramzade versus Haramzade' remark had derailed its development plank and had brought back an abusive, socially regressive and politically disastrous discourse to the fore.

Now it became culture in the 'civilized' party of BJP to abusive both verbally and in social media.

Goa has a CM who prefers booze and fish of Goa rather than Defense Minister's post in Indian Government....
he turned his back on prestigious and very important Defence ministry to enjoy fish, booze and CM post in a tiny state...that shows his standard.....

Natural resources should be owned by the center and not a state. A joint approval and a judicial approval should be sought in case of events like this.

As Political leaders we expect our elected representatives are able to display and conduct such behavior , else there is no need to call such people leaders.

Progress is fine not at the cost of such disaster. in all this one Ilias will fight with Krishna and Mohan will torch kareems bike, and Snathsh will send pictures of kareena with khan and so on ,

we may not have good leaders but as a mass and strength of common man we should look beyond things like this .
