Mangaluru: Hindu outfits begin 15-day campaign against Love Jihad

Mangaluru Jan 3: Vishwa Hindu Parishat (VHP), Bajrang Dal and Durgavahini women's wing started 15- day awareness programme against Love Jihad here at Sri Laxmi Narayana Temple near PVS on Wednesday January 3. Later they proceeded in a rally.

VHP, Bajrang Dal and Durgavahini organisations will visit colleges, workplaces and homes to distribute pamphlets to create awareness on Love Jihad. These organisations also will organise awareness programmes in each ward to avoid young girls to be the victim of Love Jihad, said the organisers.

Committees will also be formed in certain areas and monthly meetings will be organised to avoid the girls from becoming victims of Love Jihad, informed the organisers.

“Young girls from coastal region have become the victims of Love Jihad. The incidents are on the rise. Some Muslim organizations, especially linked with terrorists, are converting Hindu girls in the name of love and marriages,” said the organisers.

VHP working president M B Puranik, Bajrang Dal convenor Sharan Pumpwell, Gopal Kuthar, Bhujanga Kulal, Surekha Raj and others were present in the rally.

The tactic here seems to be taken straight out of Goebbels, Hitler's propaganda minister. The idea was to repeat a lie a million times until it becomes the truth. By raising this ridiculous "Love Jihad" bogey at every possible instance, and using pliant journalists, mediamen aligned with the Parivar, they have cleverly used this to demonise an entire section of society and create conflict. Inter-religious marriages have been happening for centuries.

By giving it a conspiratorial angle, it reminds me of blacks who were lynched by KKK and white supremacist groups in early 20th century for allegedly having an affair with white women (many allegations turned out to be false anyway). It helped demonise an already subjugated community and make them some sort of sub-human. What is depressing here is the fact that some journalists are more than willing to act as spokespersons to these fanatics, and publish these items as if this is the gospel truth. Utterly shameless

Some sensible advice for people wasting their time on streets
a) Love your children enough that they love you back and respect your sentiments
b) Give a good quality of life to them and inculcate how to show appreciation for what they have
c) Educate the boys in your community to respect girls and women
d) Educate the girls, give them employment and empower them to take on challenges in life

Spreading awareness is always good..

Most of the girls are too innocents and need some advice on the cheat around.. some are matured enough and don't need much advice . and then there are few extreme cases.!!!.
I have seen cases where girls say they want to marry only doctors, engineer, with sports car, living in metro cities, what not... after all the rejections, if a GUJARI guy with Bhagya scheme and old PULSER bike is found too happy to go with.. and lifetime in invicible mode..
Parents do have some duty in upbringing such girls..
