Mangaluru, Nov 14: Lourdes Central School celebrated ‘Regale 2017’ on Tuesday November 14 which is a brain child of the Principal Fr Robert D’Souza.
‘Regale’ is a programme organized by LCS as a family day with the intention of bringing family members together. The school provided a platform for all the students to exhibit their talents along with their family. It is a novice idea that the entire Lourdite family cherishes.
The programme commenced with a prayer song from the faculty members. Belita Mascarenhas, the vice-principal rendered the welcome address. The dignitaries present for the occasion were Fr Wilson Vitus D’Souza, manager LCS, Fr Robert D’Souza, principal, chief guest head-girl Meghana Kashyap, president head-boy Gavin Abner Pinto, Fr Rohan, assistant parish priest, Bejai Church, Dr Vasudeva Pai, vice-president PTEC, Ramona Mathais, joint secretary PTEC, Stany Vas, vice president and Cony Saldhana, secretary of Bejai Parish Pastoral Parishad. The representatives from KG to class 10 joined the entourage representing every child from their class and embellished the dais with their kinder presence.
Fr Robert D Souza in his address wished all the children a happy children’s day and expressed how much each child matters to him. He emphasized on the importance of family togetherness and invited the parents to enjoy the LCS Regale 2017 with their children and take home wonderful memories.
Fr Wilson Vitus L D’Souza wished all the children and appreciated the principal for organizing the event in a unique way; he lauded the honest effort put in by the Lourdite family for creating such a day in the life of the students.
The president of the function, Gavin Abner Pinto acknowledged the efforts of the staff of LCS in making schooling special to every student. Chief Guest the Head Girl Meghana Kashyap proposed the vote of thanks.
The beginning of the event was marked by releasing of the balloons; the dignitaries of the day released the balloons and declared the LCS Regale 2017 open.
As part of the celebration, food stall by hotel Gold Finch was inaugurated by the dignitaries, the guests also inaugurated various games stalls put up by the teachers which included kinder toy stall, pin the ball, pick your car, building the pyramid using tea cup, roll the dice for a prize, target your luck and so on were extremely successful. The gas balloon and bouncy jumping jack was a real highlight and little kids all loved it.
