Kudroli Shiva Friends troupe of tiger dancers has been following the custom of offering prayers inside the Dargah before beginning their Navaratri performances. This is one of the few customs which reinforces communal harmony between people from different communities and religions and one feels that more such customs will help further boost harmonious relationship.
Shiva Friends troupe has been offering prayers at Hazarat Sayyid Roshan Shah Waliullahi Dargah at Kudroli since the last 23 years before their annual tiger dance performances.
This Dargah is frequented by people of all religions, and special prayers are offered on every Thursday and also once a month. People offer lamps, scented sticks, jasmine flowers etc in the form of offering.
The said team visits Mahammayi and Ajjanakatte before visiting the Dargah. President of 'Shiva Friends', Umanath Shettigar, appreciates the support and cooperation extended by the Dargah management and says that during the annual Uroos at the Dargah, he and his friends reciprocate this gesture by extending cooperation.
