Kundapur: Youth returns to Hinduism after gap of six years

Daijiworld Media Network - Kundapur (SP)

Kundapur, Sep 29: A youth who had embraced Islam six years back and had turned into a staunch fundamentalist, adopted Hinduism again recently and returned to his native place. He happens to be Sukesh Poojary (24), son of Shivaram Poojary and Sujata Poojary couple from Katbeltur village in the taluk.

Sukesh was found mentally devastated and drained last year. The locals had admitted him into Choorakkad Shivashakti Yoga Centre near Kandanadu, Ernakulam, on March 23 last year. He returned to his original religion during his stay there.

During college days, Sukesh came in contact with organizations like Jamaat-e-Islami, Salafi Association, and Dawa organization. He used to be in company of Muslim youth in his lane and turned into a strong fan of Zakir Naik, who is known to spread Islamic fundamentalist ideas all over the nation. He used to speak in support of ISIS. His friends say Sukesh changed his mind after coming to know about the role of Zakir Naik in destructive activities.

Sukesh had got converted into a Muslim when he was 18, and had change his name as Tayyab Shiyan. After the Yoga Kendra succeeded in reforming his mind, he came back to his native place and also visited Dr B B Hegde College here where he had pursued his degree in law. Sukesh Poojary had become mentally unstable then and had stopped mingling with others. His mother used to trade in coconuts, while his father happens to be a Daiva Patri. His younger sister attends school.

It is learnt that the said Yoga Kendra has helped a number of young men and women who had converted into Islam, to return to their original religion. People from different states get knowledge about the ancient Hindu religion at this centre.

Sukesh says that Hinduism does not overlook or neglect other religions nor does it propagates hatred towards other religions. He feels that here is no freedom in Islam, particularly for ladies. He said that in view of these things, he decided to return to Hinduism.

I would suggest every religious followers first read your religious scriptures. You don't need to go yoga classes or other places to learn religion. The problem with people is, They themselves don't know what their religion speak. Just following what parents have thought or grandfathers etc etc.

Don't judge a religion based on the follower.

Just a religion based on the religious scripture.

May Allah guide all of us to right path.

“Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from error”
    [Al-Qur’an 2:256]

Please stop judging religions and start reading your own scriptures.

    Life is never about religion...
    Life is about living...
No known religion can tell you with conviction what happens after a second of your death...
    Koyi Maikalal nahin jo bole...
Do what you love... Never trouble other...
    Thats all is religion...

Bhagavad Gita in my opinion is a book with teachings which are exceptionally relevant to any situation. You do not have to go else where to find the truth.

    Dear Sukesh,

Choose any religion of your choice. even atheism is OK. choose any religion which is compatible with nature. please dont belive that God will provide for every soul born on this earth. I have heard news of little children being killed by their very own parents due to poverty. I have heard news of children dying due to malnutrition in African counries like somalia. India also has its share in deaths due to hunger. The resources are getting scarcer. The physical spaces are shrinking. water levels are going down every paasing year. Polution & heat is increasing. have a small family and live happily. the intense competetion for the available resources makes the rich very richer & poor very poor.

It is individuals choice what to practice and which religion to follow. This young man is bit confused. First he was a born Hindu not by choice. Later he found his path in Islam and converted to that religion on his own choice, now he has returned back to his religion of his birth. May God give him guidance and mental stability.

Thanks to Ernakulam's Choorakkad Shivashakti Yoga Center, it has helped this young man to return back to his original religion. Such type of centers should be established everywhere to know the Hindu Religion better, so that no brainwash & conversion takes place for the innocents.

'Right to live in Religion of birth' should be brought in so that no brainwash & conversion will be possible & peace will coexist among the religions.

He is welcome to his religion again. I think Hinduism is like water. ...! water has no particular shape, taste , color etc. If you pour water in to cylinder it takes cylindrical shape...! If you pour in to conical flask it takes conical shape. But in deep you analyse water, will find so many properties . Fluidity is the speciality of water. Being an Hindu ,you can utter anything , you are apploused .If you behave in a same manner ,you are ousted, in charges of blephsemy. Dear all love your religion, respect all religion.

I dont think anyone in the right mind would want their leaders to be
    >Nithyananda swami
    >baba asaram
    >ram rahim
    >radhe maa
    >narayan
    >sant rampal
    >swami aseemanand
    >swami sachidanand
    >om swami
    >nirmal baba
    >ichadari bhimanand
    >acharaya kushmuni
    >brihaspati giri & malkhan singh
All the above have cheated, kidnappd, raped, murdered, laundered, evaded taxes, assaulted, smuggled, plotted against other religions, dowry harrasment and much much more.
Im not condemning any religion as our constitution has provieded every Indian to practice their desired religion as their fundamental right.
Just dont blindly follow these fake godmen.

The real essence of India is pluralism. It does not say that My religion is superior to another ..unlike the abrahamic religions.
Though God is one ..he can be approached through multiple paths ..

He must have realised that truth is God and God is omnipresent. Being good human is better than fanatic and love and respect all religion. Instead of longing for heaven after death, make this beautiful world better than heaven which nobody has seen so far.. Thanks to yoga centre for saving the life of this person.

Be a good human. That is more than enough.
One will be thrown in a hell of fire for doing bad and spreading hatred.
Your one good act will be enough to please god you put you in heaven.
    Spread love and peace out.

Follow what you are comfortable with.

There is only one supreme god with many forms. No religion is superior or inferior after all the holy books have been an interpretation of holy thoughts. Let humanity and peace prevail.
