Mangaluru, Sep 29: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader, Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, who has often been at loggerheads with Congress leaders because of ideological differences, met former union minister, B Janardhana Poojary, during his visit to Kudroli temple on Thursday September 28.
Dr Prabhakar Bhat had visited Kudroli temple with his wife on account of Navaratri festivities going on there. B Janardhana Poojary, the force behind the temple complex project, was present when Bhat came there. Prabhakar Bhat met Poojary briefly and exchanged pleasantries with him.
On the arrival of Bhat with wife Kamala Bhat and over 200 of his supporters, Harikrishna Bantwal honoured him.
Bhat has been visiting Kudroli temple during Navaratri since the last some years. During each of these visits, it has been his practice to enquire whether Poojary is present in the temple complex, and meet him if he is there. On Thursday, Bhat expressed his appreciation for the way Navaratri festival is being managed by Kudroli temple authorities.
During the visit, Janardhana Poojary expressed to Bhat his regret for the mistake committed by Congress government in withdrawing grants being given to schools run by the latter from Kollur temple. It may be recalled that Poojary was critical of this measure of the government in the past too.
Sometime later, MP, Nalin Kumar Kateel, too came to the temple. He too spoke to Janardhana Poojary.
