Mangaluru Sep 27: Citizen Alliance to Uphold Service and Exchange, an initiative by the students and alumni of St Aloysius PU College, on Monday September 25, visited Snehalaya NGO. This is the fourth year of CAUSE.
Contributions collected by students for over two months, was given to Snehalaya, a psycho-socio rehabilitation centre located in Manjeshwar apart from other two shelters.
The noble cause was organised under the leadership of principal Fr Melwin Mendonca. Students learned how immensely blessed and privileged they were to have everything and more in life.
The students brought to the inmates shorts, water bags, bath towels, and bed sheets apart from rice and fruits.
Aloysians, relentless in their desire to do something unordinary in life, braving the odds and criticism, were excited to spend time in Snehalaya, and entertain the inmates. They sang songs, served juice and snacks, and danced merrily with the inmates who were elated by their friendly interaction and joyful spirit.
