Dubai, Feb 28: A day of fun and frolic at Zabeel Park will be etched in the memories of all the Mogarnad parishioners who enjoyed a family get-together at Zabeel Park on Friday February 24. Though the weather was cloudy with wind bringing on a threat of rain, almighty God and parish patron Mother Mary did not allow the efforts of the organising team go in vain. Inspite of a bad weather forecast, a huge number of parishioners gathered as early as 9.00 am for their first parish feast celebration here in UAE.
The day began by invoking blessings of the Almighty and Mother Mary through a beautiful prayer led by Walter Lobo and team. The celebration commenced at 10 am with a scrumptious breakfast of idlis, golibaje and tea. The vice president, Delson D'Silva welcomed the gathering. The president, Ronald Martis explained to the crowd the motive of establishing the newly formed association the 'Mukut Mogarnad' and its future vision.

All present were happy and excited to meet old friends from school and their parish. The programme was beautifully conducted and managed by Delson DSilva. It began a warm up game of 'Treasure Hunt' followed by non stop games and variety of fun filled activities till 5 pm. The gathering was divided into four groups and each was given a colour code - orange, green, red and yellow. 'Orange' under the captainship of Nelson Crasta grabbed maximum points and were the winners of the day.
Appetizing lunch with Mangalurean dishes were served. Tambde Gule, Sukrunde, flutes, horns and whistles added vodle fest flavor to the celebration. The programme concluded at 5 pm with distribution of gifts to the winners. Sunil Pasanna rendered the vote of thanks. The organising team was satisfied with the success and enthusiasm of all the participants. All the parishioners gathered, showed keen interest in building the organisation to new heights and vouched their support and co-operation for all future events and projects.
