Muscat, Nov 3: As the arrival of Christmas season sprinkles glorious mood of excitement and spirit of celebrations into our lives, the Mangalorean Catholic Center of the Parish, (MCCP, Sts. Peter & Paul Church – Ruwi) has planned to organize an entertaining annual Christmas Party for its members’ children on Wednesday, 5th December 2007 from 8.00 pm onwards at the Sts. Peter & Paul Church Upper Hall - Ruwi.
“We want to have entirely a different type of Christmas function for our member’s children” said Philomena Moras, Cultural Secretary and Coordinator of the event with her usual smiling face. “We have planned a magic show, colorful carols singing and many exciting games for this event. We want to inform our members that registration and forming the groups will commence at 7.30 pm and all should arrive at the venue before 7.30 pm.” she added.
Dilip Correa, Main Coordinator for Cultural, Spiritual and Community Services committee is working very hard along with his comrades to present a different entertainment this year. “We have involved young and enthusiastic talents of our community to organize this annual function for our children.” Dilip mentioned to www.daijiworld.com. “MCCP’s youth will be presenting this event. We have dual purposes for this sort of arrangements. One – we involve our youths in organizing the program, which is first time in MCCP’s history and second - we are giving opportunities to our youths to exhibit and expose their hidden qualities of leadership. We have chosen Shannon Pais as compere for the evening, who is ready to give her best performance. The young and versatile musicians of Sangeeth Sobhann 2007, Lanston, Duane, Meval and Rouben are also actively involved in the program with their individual contribution in music, games and singing. As I feel it will be a total entertainment for our children.”
Further, in the preparation and planning of the Christmas party, Dilip Correa and Philomena Moras have a strong support from Vinita D’ Souza – MCCP’s General Secretary, Victor Baptist Pais – MCCP’s Cultural Secretary, Shalet Noronha, Ivan Moras, Naveen Mascarenhas and Monica Dantis combined with a timely guidance from Stanley T. H. Fernandes (Dattu), current president of MCCP and Clarence Pinto, a Core Committee member.
