Bengaluru, Aug 6: The State Government has convened an all-party meeting on Sunday (August 7) in Vidhana Soudha to decide the next course of legal action to seek 7 tmc ft of water from river Mahadayi for the Kalasa-Banduri Nala drinking water project.
The meeting would discuss various options before the State Government following the Mahadayi Water Dispute Tribunal’s rejection of Karnataka’s application seeking 7 tmc ft of water for the Kalasa-Banduri Nala drinking water project.
Floors leaders of both Houses of the State legislature, State MPs and MLAs and MLCs from Dharwad, Gadag, Bagalakote and Belagavi districts have been asked to attend the meeting presided by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
The meeting would be held at conference hall of the Vidhana Soudha at 11 am.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to convene an inter-state meeting of all three riparian states to resolve the Mahadayi water dispute.
