Udupi, Jul 14: Members of the district Bharatiya Janata party and Yuva Morcha staged a joint protest on Wednesday July 13, in front of Clock Tower, here seeking the resignation of Bengaluru urban development in-charge minister K J George.

Addressing the protesters Uday Kumar Shetty said, "Till date, no FIR has been registered on George and the two senior officers Pranab Mohanti and Prasad, even though there is a dying declaration of DySP M K Ganapati.

Thus these developments indicate that the state government is protecting the accused. Both the chief minister and George are close friends.

Shetty claimed that George is like an ATM to the CM and that both are offenders as they are supporting each other to close down the case.

He demanded the resignation of both CM Siddaramaiah and George.

The party members then met the DC and submitted a memorandum copy to be handed over to the governor. They also put pressure on the immediate suspension of George from his post.

Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde, district party president, Raghavendra Kini, Sheela K Shetty, Geetanjali Suvarna and others were present.
