Riyadh, Jul 2 (Arab News): Director General of Passports Maj. Gen. Sulieman Al-Yehiya has called on all Umrah visitors coming from outside the Kingdom to make sure that they leave the country on time and not overstay the limit of their visa or else they will be penalized. He said regulations don’t allow Umrah visitors to stay in Saudi Arabia after their visas expire, nor are they allowed to stay to work in any part of the Kingdom, or move outside the designated areas of Makkah, Jeddah and Madinah, and they must follow the laws of the country.

Al-Yehiya added that the passport halls have been staffed with qualified cadres and equipped with modern technical equipment to help Umrah visitors in line with the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif.

“We, in the Passport Department, are concerned about serving Umrah visitors, who come from abroad, at all crossing points. All visitors are fingerprinted with their passports checked through the technologies we have in the passport halls,” he said, according to Al-Riyadh.
