M'luru: Nitte faculty to attend Asia Pacific cancer leaders’ summit

Mangaluru, May 11: Mackwin Kenwood D’Mello, assistant professor from department of public health, K S Hegde Medical Academy has been invited by Asia-Pacific Cancer Leaders’ Summit which will be held at Brisbane, Australia from April 13 - 15 .

He is one among five of the representatives invited from India. He is presenting his study findings on 'How smoking prevalence and age of initiation of daily smoking are related: evidence' and 'Validity of respondent responses while revealing current tobacco use status in large scale community surveys: Evidence from 22 country level Global Adult Tobacco Surveys".  

He is also a recipient of Emerging Researcher Award in the summit for his extensive work in the field of tobacco and cancer.
