Udupi: Police raid house at Kallianpur, bust prostitution racket

Udupi, Apr 26: The police on Sunday April 26 raided a house at Kallianpur here and busted an alleged prostitution racket. Three men and a woman were arrested.

The arrested are Sathish (31), Prajwal (20), Sunil (25) and Chandrakala (40).

Two girls were victims of the flesh trade were rescued and sent to a government-run home.

The raid was conducted under the guidance of SP Annamalai based on a complaint received on the Udupi police Suraksha mobile app.

It is learnt that the house belongs to Chandrakala and she has been allegedly running the racket from the last few years.

Circle inspector Srikanth Rao led the raid operation.

The accused will be produced before the magistrate the same evening.

Malpe police have registered a case.

    Why raid or arrest? They were willingly doing that business. No one is forced to do anything here?. Now this is what will happen next. The police will take the woman to station and they will enjoy for free (in the name of punishment) before releasing her.

    This type of exposure may be one in a thousand in Mangaluru.
    For high society/affluent guys flirting and enjoying with girls is way of life. Who takes interest to complain against them?
    Prostitution is legal in many metropolitan cities of India, why can't Karnataka government take some initiative in this regard.

    For Justice. Are you OK? All men they act front of their wives as if they are saints.

    Many of our Govt. employed men, politicians and many more men they always go to Prostitutes. My only worry here is how can you go to sleep with some other lady?? vek. We all very well know a lady gives birth to a child (i.e. our mother).

    I read here prostitution should be legalised. What are you talking. As if you are offering a job to her. Then they may have to produce their Resumes.

    Rapes will never become less in India as long as no strict law comes for the rapists & acid attackers. I strongly recommend those who throw acid on a girl please give him the same punishment in return. Even for the rape please cut ..... Then person will not repeat.
