Nagpur/Mumbai (Maharashtra), April 25 (IANS): Mild tremors were felt in some parts of Mumbai and the central Indian city of Nagpur in Maharashtra as an offshoot of the massive 7.5 Richter Scale earthquake which hit Nepal on Saturday, officials said.
There are no reports of any damage or panic among the people in both the cities.
Nagpur is the home town of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the national headquarters of the RSS, while Mumbai is the country's financial capital.
In Mumbai, tremors measuring around 2.8 on the Richter scale were felt in Borivali and Dahisar suburbs and slightly higher intensity tremor in the posh Bandra, the queen of the suburbs housing top film stars, industrialists, celebs and foreign nationals, was experienced.
Besides these, no other parts of the state have reported any tremors so far, though several states in northern, eastern and western India experienced mild to sharp tremors.
