Free eye check-up and surgical camp at Hiriadka by KMC

Udupi, Dec 15:  Kasturba Hospital, Manipal is organizing a free eye check-up and surgical camp at primary health centre, Hiriadka on Monday, 15th December 2014.

The timings of the screening camp is from 9.30 am to 01.00 pm. This specialty eye camp is organized by department of ophthalmology (Eye), Kasturba Hospital, Manipal in association with district health and welfare society - blindness control division, Udupi.

In this camp there will be free screening for cataract for the general public. There will also be free screening for all age group. The patients requiring surgical intervention will be provided free surgery with financial assistance from the government.     

Dr. (Col) M Dayananda, Medical Superintendent of Kasturba Hospital has urged the people to make maximum utilization of the free camp. Through this camp, Kasturba Hospital envisages to make the services of the renowned ophthalmology (eye) department of Kasturba hospital, Manipal at no cost to public.
